Villas-Boas odrzucił propozycję z Paryża

Po tym jak z Paryżem pożegnał się Carlo Ancelotti, jednym z faworytów do zajęcia jego miejsca był aktualny menedżer Tottenhamu Hotspur, Andre Villas-Boas. Portugalczyk otrzymał nawet stosowną ofertę z PSG, jednak jej nie przyjął.

Villas-Boas jest prywatnie dobrym znajomym Nassera al-Khelaifiego, prezesa Paris Saint-Germain, nic więc dziwnego, że ten zwrócił się do niego z prośbą o poprowadzenie zespołu. – PSG? Mam bardzo dobre relacje z Nasserem, często ze sobą rozmawiamy – powiedział podczas rozmowy z „L’Equipe”.

– Jest prawdą, że PSG się ze mną kontaktowało, ale ja postawiłem sprawę jasno i chciałem na kolejny rok pozostać w Londynie. Mam tu robotę do wykonania, a poza tym po raz pierwszy w karierze udało mi się prowadzić jeden klub przez dłuższy okres czasu niż jeden sezon – dodał Portugalczyk.

Ostatecznie, nowym szkoleniowcem paryżan został były selekcjoner reprezentacji Francji, Laurent Blanc.
