Najlepszy piłkarz XXI wieku w Premier League. Fachowy portal dokonał wyboru

Portal Goal.com wybrał najlepszych piłkarzy XXI wieku, którzy pojawili się na boiskach Premier League. Triumfatorem został legendarny piłkarz Arsenalu.

Portal Goal.com zestawił 25 najlepszych piłkarzy XXI wieku w Premier League. Wśród wyróżnionych znaleźli się byli zawodnicy między innymi Manchesteru City, Manchesteru United, Arsenalu czy Chelsea.

Spośród graczy, którzy dzisiaj występują na angielskich boiskach, w zestawieniu znalazło się miejsce dla Virgila Van Dijka, Erlinga Haalanda, Rodriego, Mohameda Salaha i Kevina De Bruyne. Najwyżej z tego grona został sklasyfikowany Belg, który zajął czwarte miejsce. „Potrafi popisać się podaniem, którego inni nawet nie dostrzegą” – czytamy w uzasadnieniu.

Zwycięzcą zestawienia został Thierry Henry. „Jest najlepszym piłkarzem nie tylko trwającego stulecia, ale najlepszym jakiego kiedykolwiek widziano w Premier League” – podkreśla Goal.com. „Do dzisiaj pozostaje jedynym piłkarzem w historii, który w jednym sezonie strzelił 20 goli i zaliczył 20 asyst”.
