„Luis Suarez zostanie w Liverpoolu”

Prezes Liverpoolu, John W Henry zabrał głos w sprawie przyszłości Luisa Suareza. Jego zdaniem, Urugwajczyk nie odejdzie z Anfield podczas letniego okna transferowego.

Od kilku dni trwa ogromne zamieszanie wokół Suareza. Najlepszy strzelec The Reds chciałby opuścić Liverpool i przejść do Arsenalu, jednak władze klubu nie zamierzają mu na to pozwolić, a już na pewno nie za kwotę oferowaną przez Kanonierów.

– Moje stanowisko jest znane. Rozmawiał już o tym z Brendanem Rodgersem i nie stało się od tego czasu nic takiego, co skłoniłoby mnie do zmiany zdania – powiedział Henry. – Nie zamierzamy sprzedawać Luisa Suareza i decydują tu kwestie czysto sportowe, nie finansowe.

– Dla wszystkich klubów z czołówki bardzo ważne jest zatrzymanie swoich najlepszych piłkarzy. Nie inaczej jest w przypadku Liverpoolu, który przecież już od jakiegoś czasu nie może awansować do Ligi Mistrzów. Oddawanie w takiej sytuacji najskuteczniejszego zawodnika rywalowi byłoby po prostu niedorzeczne – zakończył.
