Legenda The Reds apeluje do działaczy. „Nagnijcie zasady dla Salaha”

Mohamed Salah wciąż nie podpisał nowego kontraktu z Liverpoolem FC i na Anfield Road mało kto wierzy, że to w ogóle nastąpi. Legendarny napastnik LFC, Michael Owen prosi jednak działaczy, aby w sprawie Egipcjanina rozważyli nagięcie własnych zasadach.

Kością nie zgody między Mohamedem Salahem, a działaczy lidera Premier League jest długość kontraktu. Władze The Reds, ze względu na wiek Egipcjanina (32 lata) mogą mu zagwarantować maksymalnie dwuletni kontrakt. Ten jednak oczekuje znacznie dłuższej umowy. Były as LFC, Michael Owen uważa, że w tym konkretnym przypadku, włodarze z Anfield Road powinni nagiąć własne zasady dla dobra klubu.

– Nie mam wątpliwości, że Salah chce zostać. A to oznacza, że Liverpool będzie musiał zmienić dla niego politykę dwuletnich kontraktów dla graczy po 30-stce – przyznał zdobywca Złotej Piłki A.D. 2001 na antenie talksport.

– Oczywiście nie ma pewności czy za 3-4 lata będzie dalej w tak wspaniałej formie. Ale on nie jest normalnym graczem i akurat dla niego możesz nagiąć zasady – dodał.

Owen rozumie również finansowe wątpliwości The Reds ws. długiego kontraktu dla Salaha. Słusznie jednak zauważa: – Zastąpienie go będzie kosztowało znacznie więcej, wszak Liverpool nic za niego nie dostanie. Dlatego zrobiłbym wszystko, aby go zatrzymać.
