Alan Hansen odchodzi z popularnego programu piłkarskiego „Match of the Day” nadawanego w weekendy na antenie BBC.

Legendarny zawodnik Liverpoolu pracował w roli eksperta telewizyjne przez 22 lata. Swoją pracę w „Match of the Day” zakończy po finałach przyszłorocznych Mistrzostw Świata w Brazylii.

– Wraz z końcem sezonu odchodzę z MotD – powiedział Hansen. – Tworzyłem ten program przez 22 lata, sam będę miał za chwilę 59 lat, więc nadszedł czas na emeryturę.

„Match of the Day” to program, w którym pokazywane są bramki z wszystkich spotkań Premier League. Wszystko okraszone fachowym komentarzem Gary’ego Linekera, Alana Shearera, Marka Lawrensona i właśnie Hansena.
