Fred w Manchesterze United

Manchester United poinformował, że porozumiał się z Szachtarem Donieck w sprawie transferu Freda.

Manchester United w oficjalnym oświadczeniu nie podał szczegółów transferu, ale więcej informacji ma ujawnić, gdy piłkarz przejdzie testy medyczne i oficjalnie zostanie graczem „Czerwonych Diabłów”. Według nieoficjalnych informacji Anglicy musieli za niego zapłacić 60 milionów euro.

25-letni Fred jest środkowym pomocnikiem i wychowankiem Internacionalu Porto Alegre. Od 2013 roku grał jednak w Szachtarze Donieck i jest kolejnym Brazylijczykiem, który wypromował się w tym ukraińskim klubie i przeszedł do największych klubów zachodniej Europy. Wcześniej podobną drogę przebyli m.in. Willian, Fernandinho, Douglas Costa, Elano i Luiz Adriano.

Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos znany jako Fred jest siedmiokrotnym reprezentantem Brazylii. Został powołany na nadchodzące mistrzostwa świata w Rosji.
