Football, bloody hell!

Zwieńczenie Boxing Day w Premier League nie zawiodło. Manchester United pokonał Aston Villę 3:2, choć do przerwy przegrywał 0:2.

Nawet dłużej niż do przerwy, wszak kontaktowy gol padł dopiero w 59. minucie. Strzelił go Alejandro Garnacho, najważniejszy piłkarz Czerwonych Diabłów na boisku. Niespełna kwadrans później Argentyńczyk skompletował dublet, doprowadzając do wyrównania. Potem przełamał się Ramus Hojlund, który zdobył swoją pierwszą bramkę w angielskiej ekstraklasie. I od razu na wagę triumfu z bardzo silnym przeciwnikiem.

Sir Alex Ferguson wypowiedział niegdyś słowa, które dobrze opisują dzisiejsze wydarzenia na Old Trafford. Football, bloody hell!

Aston Villa to oczywiście nie Bayern Monachium. 19. kolejka Premier League to nie finał Ligi Mistrzów. Tym niemniej Manchester United pokazał charakter i sumiennie zapracował na trzy punkty.

Po pierwszej połowie The Villans zdawali się je mieć w garści. Prowadzili 2:0 po trafieniach ze stałych fragmentów gry. Najpierw bezpośrednio z rzutu wolnego zapakował John McGinn. Później akcję po dośrodkowaniu z rzutu rożnego zamknął Leander Dendoncker.

Czerwone Diabły się jednak nie poddały, naciskały i wycisnęły zwycięstwo. Dzięki niemu awansowały na szóste miejsce w tabeli.
