Fletcher przedłużył umowę z „Czerwonymi Diabłami”

Pomocnik Manchesteru United, Darren Fletcher związał się w piątek z klubem z Old Trafford nowym, czteroletnim kontraktem. W drużynie sir Alexa Fergusona występować będzie tym samym do końca sezonu 2014/2015.

27-letni Szkot jest zawodnikiem „Czerwonych Diabłów” od 2000 roku, a w pierwszym zespole zadebiutował trzy lata później. Od tego czasu wystąpił w 288 meczach i strzelił 21 goli. Trzykrotnie świętował triumf w Premier League, raz zdobył także Puchar Anglii, a dwukrotnie Puchar Ligi. Wraz z drużyną z Old Trafford wygrał również Ligę Mistrzów i Klubowe Mistrzostwa Świata.

– Darren trafił do nas, gdy miał 15 lat. Jestem niezmiernie dumny, że przeszedł przez naszą akademię, a teraz stał się pomocnikiem najwyższej klasy i związał się z nami nowym kontraktem – powiedział sir Alex Ferguson cytowany przez oficjalny serwis United.

– Jestem dumny, że mogę grać dla tego klubu – podkreślił z kolei sam Fletcher. – W okresie występów na Old Trafford zdobyłem już wiele trofeów i mam nadzieję, że ich kolekcja powiększy się w najbliższych sezonach.

W obecnych rozgrywkach Premier League reprezentant Szkocji zagrał w 24 meczach i zdobył dwa gole.
