Puchar Anglii: MU eliminuje Liverpool, cały mecz Kuszczaka

W niedzielę rozegrano kolejne mecze III rundy Pucharu Anglii. Do następnej fazy rozgrywek awansowały Manchester United i Tottenham Hotspur.

„Czerwone Diabły” wyrzuciły za burtę Liverpool prowadzony po raz pierwszy przez Kenny’ego Dalglisha. W bramce gospodarzy od pierwszej minuty stanął Tomasz Kuszczak. Polski bramkarz nie miał zbyt wielu okazji do interwencji, a najgroźniej było w 19. minucie po uderzeniu Maxiego Rodrigueza. Po nieco ponad półgodzinie gry doszło do decydującej akcji spotkania – Steven Gerrard ostro zaatakował Michaela Carricka i sędzia Howard Webb nie wahał się wyrzucić z boiska kapitana „The Reds”. Podopieczni Alexa Fergusona prowadzili już wtedy 1:0 po rzucie karnym wykorzystanym przez Ryana Giggsa.

Natomiast „Koguty” nie miały większych problemów z pokonaniem występującego na co dzień w League One Charltonu.
