Premier League: Stoke pokonało Arsenal, grał Szczęsny (akt.)

Ważne wygraną zanotowało w niedzielę walczące o utrzymanie w Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers, które na Molineux Stadium 3:1 pokonało West Bromwich Albion. Bohaterem w zespole „Wilków” był strzelec dwóch goli – Steven Fletcher.

Szkot na listę strzelców wpisał się w 15. oraz 47. minucie. Trzeciego z goli dołożył Adlene Guedioura i gospodarze prowadzili już 3:0. Honorowe trafienie dla West Bromwich w 55. minucie z rzutu karnego zanotował natomiast Peter Odemwingie. Dzięki temu zwycięstwu Wolverhampton opuściło strefę spadkową i awansowało na 17. miejsce.

Marzenia o mistrzowskim tytule Arsenalu Londyn zakończyło natomiast Stoke City, które na Britannia Stadium pokonało wyżej notowanych rywali 3:1. W bramce „Kanonierów” stanął Wojciech Szczęsny, ale nie był w stanie uratować swojego zespołu od wyraźnej porażki. Gole dla gospodarzy strzelili Kenwyne Jones, Jermaine Pennant oraz Jonathan Walters, a dla Arsenalu trafił tylko Robin van Persie.
