Petr Cech wybrany Piłkarzem Roku w Czechach

Petr Cech został wybrany najlepszym czeskim piłkarzem minionego roku. Dla doświadczonego bramkarza Arsenalu to już dziewiąte tego typu wyróżnienie w karierze.

W plebiscycie, w którym swoje głosy mogli oddawać dziennikarze, piłkarze, trenerzy oraz przedstawiciele federacji, Petr Cech zgromadził aż 525 typów i o ponad sto wyprzedził drugiego w klasyfikacji Vladimira Daridę z Herthy Berlin (413 głosów).

34-letni bramkarz Arsenalu tylko w tym sezonie wystąpił na wszystkich frontach w 28 meczach dla Kanonierów. W tym czasie udało mu się zachować dziewięć czystych konto. Po nieudanych dla swojej reprezentacji mistrzostwach Europy, Cech postanowił zakończyć międzynarodową karierę.

Co ciekawe, na 24. miejscu w plebiscycie sklasyfikowany został obrońca Legii Warszawa Adam Hlousek, który otrzymał jeden głos.
