Newcastle United było blisko pozyskania zawodnika Chelsea. Kluczowe okazało się stanowisko trenera Srok

Sroki w trakcie minionego letniego okienka transferowego były dość często łączone z pozyskaniem nowego środkowego obrońcy. Jednym z ich celów transferowych był defensor Chelsea.

Jak poinformował portal Daily Mail, w kręgu zainteresowań The Magpies znalazł się również Axel Disasi. Stoper The Blues mógł przenieść się do drużyny Newcastle, ale veto w tej sprawie postawił trener Eddie Howe.

Angielski szkoleniowiec nie chciał sprowadzać 26-letniego Francuza do szeregów swojego zespołu. Dyrektor sportowy Paul Mitchell zaproponował złożenie oferty za Disasiego, ale Howe stanowczo zablokował owe działania.

5-krotny reprezentant Trójkolorowych we wszystkich rozgrywkach bieżącej kampanii rozegrał 8 spotkań dla londyńskiej Chelsea. Przełożyło się to na 595 minut spędzonych na placu gry. Niewykluczone, że już w przyszłym roku powróci temat jego ewentualnego odejścia ze Stamford Bridge.
