Po 20. kolejkach Nottingham Forest FC sensacyjnie zajmuje 3. miejsce w tabeli Premier League. Większość ekspertów i kibiców przewiduje, że już wkrótce Tricky Trees wypadną z ligowego podium, ale zupełnie innego zdania jest menedżer Liverpoolu FC, Arne Slot.

We wrześniu The Reds przegrali na Anfield Road z Nottingham Forest 0:1 po golu Calluma Hudsona-Odoia. To do dziś jedyna porażka Liverpoolu w bieżącym sezonie Premier League. W tamtym czasie ten wynik zakrawał na sensację, dziś, patrząc jak Forest znakomicie radzą sobie w lidze angielskiej, nie ma mowy o przypadku.

I choć większość ekspertów i kibiców przewiduje, że wkrótce zespół Nuno Espirito Santo wypadnie z czołowej trójki Premier League, zupełnie innego zdania jest menedżer The Reds, Arne Slot. – Zawsze byłem zdania, że najlepiej oceniać tabelę i teraz nadszedł ten moment. Skoro Nottingham jest tam razem z nami, Arsenalem, Chelsea i Manchesterem City to należy go traktować jako kandydata do mistrzostwa – przyznał holenderski menedżer.

– Jeśli spojrzysz na ich wyniki i sposób w jaki grają, zrozumiesz, że zasługują na takie traktowanie. We wtorek będzie nam ciężko uzyskać dobry wynik – dodał.

W 21.kolejce Nottingham będzie bowiem gościć Liverpool na City Ground Nottingham. Slot bardzo uważnie przygotowuje drużynę do rewanżu z Forest. – Oglądałem ponownie pierwsze spotkanie. Chciałem zobaczyć, co wtedy zrobiliśmy źle i co inaczej możemy zrobić teraz – przyznał.
